About "Bald Eagle Portrait"

While working in my studio I often hear the the callings of our resident eagles in the area. I decided to do a little research on eagles and was fascinated by the Native American Indians symbolism for the eagle. They believed that
the eagle represents honesty, truthful principles, majesty, strength, courage, wisdom, power and freedom. I felt the need to do head shot of the bald eagle to create more of a statement than doing the whole body. This artwork has been beautifully framed and is a lot larger than the dimensions given with the frame on.

About Lauren

The passion I have for art started at an early age.

As a young girl, I found my most natural expression through my artistic abilities.

I have now been doing art for the past 13 years and love every minute spent in my little studio space.

Oil paints have always been my main medium, until I discovered, 3 years ago, that I could get the same sort of detail from pastels. My subject matter choices vary, but I enjoy still life's, animals, landscapes and nature.

Art is my sanity!
