Having grown up in the villages of Kleinmond and Hermanus, the sea has always been very special to me
I think that my Jollies Series of paintings are very much inspired by those lovely and carefree years

About Celeste

Because I paint fast, acrylic is my preferred medium, I start off a painting with broad painting paintbrushes to allow for a spontaneous background and effect to occur, the painting is then pulled together with a finer brush. When I use oils I do not use brushes but paint with my fingers only. The smaller paintings I do, help me with problem solving in my larger works.
