Reference final 6 About "Nguni/Xhosa Woman Carrying Baby" Xhosa/Zulu women used to carry water from the wells in finely designed clay pots.in between the clay pot and her head was woolen cloth used to ease the pain and balance the clay pot.On her back is a child tightly put in a shower towel.Many xhosa/zulu women would shave their hair and put on ornaments and wooden earings. This work shows the heritage of African culture and their traditional life.This art potrays the actual history of the primitive Nguni women . |
