An old picture my husband took - just love the old shops in the South African 'dorps'. I think this one was in Calvinia but not quite sure - and I changed the picture quite a bit.

About Lindy Jane

Art was one of my matric subjects at St Mary's School, Waverley in Johannesburg but I only took up painting again after 45 years.

I went to Rhodes University where I studied Secretarial Practice. I worked at Chirst Church Kenilworth in Cape Town for 29 years and retired to Hermanus a few years ago. At that time I started art lessons with Alyson Guy at the Volmoed Retreat Centre in the Hemel en Aarde valley. Alyson has been a great inspiration and is very encouraging. I am a member of the Hermanus Art Circle and have exhibited at the Hermanus First Friday Art Walks, the Kalfiefees, FynArts and Volmoed. I paints with acrylics, usually on canvas, and especially love painting flowers and landscapes.

I am married and have 6 grandchildren.
