Info on method used : Digital painting is an emerging artform in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, impasto, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software and then printed to canvas.

"Carla Maritz born in Pretoria , is an exceptional artist who understands and relates to how all ethnic and other South Africans live. She has worked many years as a graphic artist illustrating text books for the school curriculum and managing and briefing other artists to do quality work for her clients. Her clients have ranged from Nasou via Africa ,Maskew Miller Longman and many other large and smaller publishers . She is extremely dedicated to getting the facts of her designs just right ,through her socialness she has discovered , that there is a huge untapped potential, niche in the market for her work . She heads the operations of Eish Studio as this is her vision and idea . In doing so she also improves the living conditions of others , which drives her . She is a qualified artist that went to the Art Ballet and Music school where she passed with Art (and other subjects) with distinction; she then went on to study at the Pretoria Technicon, Carla also has experience in a managerial position Director for 3D Girls which operated until recently in Pretoria and Cape Town. Carla has successfully managed its operations in both cities for several years. Noticably ,she treats all people from various spheres of life as equals."
Inspiration in general for my work - Africa - what else! ,and the people around me !
And so you may notice, the use colour as one of my main "tools" , to show the vibrancy and diversity of our people and our land.
As for myself “personally” , to finally be able to use my “artistic licence” without someone else's perameters has been most liberating and fun at the same time . And with the Eish Limited Edition Collection - I hope to showcase the beauty and wonders of the ‘Rainbow Nation’.

On this site I am doing a limited edition of Eish Studio's original cards,these artworks are also slightly different to the ones that are used as postcards or cards, and will be personally signed by myself .
There will only be 10 prints of each sold .
The electronic file will be kept in my archive with the buyers details for restorative purposes if required in the future .The artwork/canvas is sent to you rolled, in a secure cardboard tube . (If you require a canvas on a frame - please inquire - this is at a small additional cost.)
Sales from here will be going towards establishing Eish Studio futher !
