About "Eve"

More than 100 images combine to form a single, haunting face - the face of EveryWoman - Eve. The EveryWoman project is an ongoing Artwork, the subjects are all volunteers, each volunteer's image contributes an equal amount to Eve.

Karl Lilje

Karl is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Karl's work is influenced by both classical art and modern ideas, creating an amalgam of delicate visual experience and texture. His work combines the traditional methods of the old masters with contemporary designs, creating work that is a bridge between the two worlds.

Webster's Classical Artists describes Karl as a classical painter and philosopher, a combination evident in his more metaphoric works.

A self taught artist, Karl sold his first portrait at age 17 and fell in love with the idea of expressing inner beauty and subtle expression.

Karl lives in Cape Town and exhibits and shares his knowledge and research of classical technique with a few dedicated figurative artists.
