About Alick

Alick works in oils or soft pastels but my preferred medium for portraits is soft pastel. I work on Canson or Fabriano paper (sizeA2) [0x1] making for life size drawings. I have done adults, children, dogs, cats, a polo pony string of 5 horses and the like. I now use photographs almost exclusively but do find that digital photographs are not always suitable due to the pixilation of detail. I prefer a good studio shot [0x1] or I take the pictures myself. The better the photograph the better the results
