About Jeffrey
A warm hello to all of you who may read this. My name is Jeffrey Cole and this is where I sell my digital art.
All the way through my young life I was drawing. I drew anything from still life to the covers of Superman comics, right down to the price icon in the corner...to pencil portraits of my friends. When I left school I went straight into Technical College to study graphic and commercial art and at the same time I was working my Grade 8 in classical guitar. After graduating, music and specifically the guitar won out and I have spent many decades as a musician and the only place I used my flair for art was in designing my show posters and banners and the covers for my CDs.
Lately I have been drawn (forgive the pun) back to my love for colour and shape, this time finding expression through digital means. I simply am having the most incredible fun taking sometimes old and low-resolution photographs and turning them into an artistic canvas that pleases my eye. My own family are often my models.
I am purposefully not trying to settle on a given 'style'. Like my music, I am eclectic and my software programs help me to blend styles and bend light in ways that I hope strikes your eye too. My subject matter is life as it happens around me...today it could be my daughter's face, tomorrow a boat on the water, a turbulent sky or a stray dog.
All the art on this site can be bought. I can get it to you in a variety of formats from a simple download to an A zero-sized stretch canvas print, framed and shipped to you.
