About "Namib II"
Whenever I am in the desert the contrasts of light and shade and the many different nuances in the colours of sand make we want to take out my paint brushes there and then.
Klaus Gunther immigrated to South Africa in the mid sixties and was soon hooked on the African sky, the bush and the wildlife. In Germany, he had received technical and practical training as a master craftsman, designer and artist and, over the years, art stayed the love of his life. Klaus still had to earn a living by other means and so there were frequent breaks in his creative life. Though his many visits to Namibia, where colours and light are so irresistable, started regular bouts of creativity.
