About Shirley

Shirley is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Shirley is a painter of South African scenes, producing exiting Cape landscapes, incorporating workers on vanishing farms. She works in different media, but mainly oils, successfully captures various light effects.
She loves painting dancers, musicians and carnival scenes. Shirley has had many "one man shows' and taken part in many group exhibitions. Her work is represented in many European, American and local collections. Large commissions for the Table Bay Hotel, Plettenberg Hotel and private commissions. Shirley is a founder member of the Benoni Art Society, and Life member of the Brush and Chisel Club. Ran her own Art Studio where she taught and worked for many years. Now lives and works in Somerset West, Cape
