About Rudie

Rudie is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I am a full-time artist living in Cape Town. My art is a blend of fantasy, playfulness and simplicity. I am an expressionist at heart and search for expressiveness by means of exaggeration and distortion of line and colour. The purpose of my art is to reach a certain form: one does not necessarily look for an elegant effect, but for a general shape to satisfy the inner impulse. Over my 23 years as an artist I have experimented with different techniques and styles - from pop and pure abstract art to heavily textured expressionistic work.

Works are in collections in South Africa, England, Scotland,Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States.
