Marlene Brenda van Heerden: I’ve been painting since 1997 and am still just as enthusiastic about it as I was in the beginning. I try to capture my love of bold colors and texture in my paintings. I combine the rich texture of oil painting and the versatility of a palette knife to express myself. I also enjoy working in acrylics. My choice of medium depends on the atmosphere I want to create.
