About "pepe's place" during a recent visit to France, we stayed at a small hotel in the Lot and Garonne. a magnificent red couch filled the one corner of the reception room. Everyone who worked at the hotel referred to the couch as Pepe's couch, because this is where this magnificent cat spent most of the day. Whenever I passed, he would arch his back and stretch luxuriously and dig his claws into the upholstery, expecting a scratch under his chin. |
