About Maretha

Maretha Kritzinger

Maretha is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I was born in Lichtenburg and raised in the Freestate, Overberg. After matriculating at Bloemhof Girls High in Stellenbosch, I studied teaching, specialising in mentally retarded children's education. My creativeness has always been stimulated and ranged from pottery, making juwelery and drawing to painting. My paintings compliment my personality - always an explosion of colour harmonised by misterious ghostly trees. My work is characterised and inspired by my love for colour and very fine detail.
