About Etienne

Etienne du Plessis

Etienne is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I was born in the Eastern Cape and grew up in the North Eastern Cape town called Hofmeyr and I now live in the Boland town of Stellenbosch. Since the first awareness of my surroundings I conceptualised about almost everything I could imagine into the art of drawing. Starting with cartoon characters, super heroes, pets, friends, family, landscapes, buildings, etc. All of this combined, as simple as it might sound, gave me a steady platform of all aspects of body motion, feeling, emotion and all other relevant aspects of the art of painting and drawing.

I am inspired by the great masters as Van Gogh, Pierneef, Van Rijn, Rubens to name but a few.

I also touched the art of pottery, jewellery design and textiles but prefer painting and drawing.
