About "scales of note"
this etching is inspired by the African (Angoni tribe)tale of how the pangolin got his scales presented by Nick Greeves. Its tells the story of the jealous honey badger that pours honey onto the beautiful fur of the pangolin so that the ants would eat all his fur and in turn would grow scales to protect himself and go on to enjoy eating those very ants to this day. look it up, its a great story with many more
About Grant Oliver
Grant Oliver is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.
Having a passion for wild life is a huge driving force in my creations. My work shows the beauty within each animal I chose as a subject. I believe that every animal, much the same as humans, has its own unique personality and I illustrate this by focusing on their expressions for the most part these lie only in the eyes.
parktown college fine arts, and of course the school of life
