Darkness over this day, sunrise swallowed up by unnerving black thoughts...let me adress this message to semillanté; we are now one and wish you in future the same, live your life - reality is not a game. High seas are easily overcome, look past it and see...many in this world roam free to break your spirit, they wil not let you live and let be so easily. Victory comes from enduring and everlasting love yet tainted shadows leaves many torn, shall we rather leave the dead to sit and waste time to morn? I realize now why there is so much hate and scorn for the innocent but loved unborn...

Nico Van der Merwe

Nico is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Currently residing in Krugersdorp, South Africa - born March 10, 1977 and as of yet not left the shores of Africa. I go through most days either with a like or dislike for many things that happen on the continent but I can never say that Africa isn't a very fascinating and unique place to live in.

I capture life as it happens at that particular moment when it will be most memorable and tell a story even if it seems none is to be had - creating something out of nothing in life, both a challenge and equally intriguing to myself seeing what I photographed when I sometimes have only split second to react without the comforts and repeatability of in-studio work.
