About Sharleen
Sharleen is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.
I create impressionistic paintings from my studio in Durban, South Africa. My work is represented in selected galleries country wide and form private collections both locally and overseas. My expression in the arts began with poetry and some of my poems were featured in three editions of poetry compilations by the Poetry Institute of Africa. Eventually I gravitated to fine art and now I endeavour to paint poetry. I try to capture the emotive quality in the subjects I choose rather than painting a realistic interpretation.
