About "Sentinel | Brandwag"
I took this photo of the African Baboon late one afternoon in the Kruger National Park in 2009. He was actually the sentinel on duty and guarded over the troop. As you can see on the image, he is scanning the surroundings for danger or threats, while the rest of the troop was relaxing.
My family was with me on the day, and we watched them for more than an hour before they moved away to the place where they overnight. Fascinating animals indeed.
This is a large-scale image and will be printed on high quality canvas or photographic paper. The print work will be sealed with a colour protection layer that will ensure that the image will not fade or discolour over time.
It is offered in any size from A4 to A0 and it can even be produced in a really big format with the short side of the production is up to 1400mm.
The image, printed on canvas or paper will be shipped to the buyer, rolled in tube to prevent any folds on the canvas or paper.
The canvas will have a border of 50mm on all 4 sides to allow for easy framing. Generally, we do not sell this size images as framed/mounted works, because the sheer size of the framed image makes it very expensive to transport across the world and people usually prefer to choose a frame that will fit in with the decor of the place where the work will be displayed.
The photographer supports a private game reserve in the Limpopo province of South Africa and all proceeds from this work of art will go towards the funding of wildlife conservation and habitat protection, to expand the reserve, and to reintroduce wildlife species that were previously located in that area.
The vision is to “turn back time” in the reserve to a point where the habitat and its inhabitants are in a state as it was before farmers intervened in the environment.
Your money will be a contribution to wildlife conservation and natural habitat restoration.
