About Dean

Dean is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Having been involved in the IT industry for close to 20 years I decided I needed a balance in my life. I purchased a camera and decided to try to explore the world away from my computer again.

As a youngster I grew up in Namibia (the then South West Africa) and spent many hours in the bush with my father.

My art therefore means a great deal to me as it is the vehicle by which I can get back to nature. I often try to detect the soul or spirit in what I am photographing.

A camera I see purely as a tool forming a basis to produce art works and resemblances to reality and as such any other media is also welcome.
