Dinie Potgieter

Dinie is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Dinie Potgieter 1970-
Born in Pretoria, and grew up in Polokwane, studied art at Pretoria Technicon from 1988-1990
I majored in Printing Fine arts.
Have moved to Cape Town 2002
For the past 17 years I specialised in murals and paintings for a number of local and overseas clients.
Preferred working in acrylics and started experimenting with oil paintings in 2000
I love to draw people, life drawing was my favourite subject and to draw animals, my love for the bushveld.
Since I moved to Cape Town I started painting landscapes, my passion for nature.
I have always been a very realistic artist but when I started to work with oils I love to experiment with texture and colour.
I have done a few exhibitions in the past but focussed more on commission work.
In the future I see myself doing full time paintings and various exhibitions.
