Hannes J Scholtz

Hannes J is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Having always been interested in the arts and wanting to paint but never had the opportunity to recieve any formal art training or education, I attended some art sessions with Elizabeth Riding, who concentrated on the art of painting the way the old masters did. However, due to a busy work schedule I never found time do any more painting at that time.

After locating to the Lowveld in February 2005. I devoted more time and energy to art and joined a painting group in White river. Being a self taught artist I developed by participating in several workshops by different artists.

In between running a Guest house, We also host a painting group with like minded friends who come together once a week to paint and help each other.

Regular workshops are also organised in my studio at Ambience Inn, White River, which are open for every one interested
