My feeling at the time,trangquelle, Paintings that came from inside, the painting leed you. The painting give you a warm feeling and you get the erdge to go for a walk about. You want to experince that lovely warm sky.

About Reinet

Reinet de Jager

Reinet is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Reinet was born in Pretoria in 1970.

“My work represents vibrancy, colour, love and growth in nature, and it is exactly that that I want to bring into your living space.”

She went to Pro Arte art school, after which she studied textile design at the Pretoria Technikon. She then did textile printing for 10 years. Three years ago she started doing the living space paintings. “Absolute joy!” she says. She uses medium oils and acrylics on canvas.

Living in Africa, one is constantly exposed to various and diverse patterns and textures. The different cultures inherent to Africa also emphasize this point. She paints her subject matter with a sensual yet playful emotion that reminds of a time long gone.

“I am inspired by nature and colour and from an early age I was always painting on every available surface, to the despair of my parents.”

I devote all my time to painting.
