About Celestie

Celestie is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I was born in Klerksdorp, North West, on 12 September 1976 and grew up in the Free State, raised by wonderful, supportive and loving parents.

In 1998 I graduated with a Notional Diploma in Fine Arts from Pretoria Technicon and started my own teaching school and full-time studio in Standerton, Mpumalanga in 2000.

I love painting and draw inspiration from everything beautiful around me. My favourite medium is mostly oil, but I venture into ather mediums at times.

I live and love life with my family that means the world to me. But it is God who is the Centre-piece of our lives. My signature on my paintings ends with a "J", for He's the One who blessed me with the talent I have!

I quote Koos du Plessis: "Als wat ek is, is net genade, als wat ek het is net geleen." This is my life's motto!

May everyone who enjoys my work, experience the joy, peace and love that I felt when I created it!
