About "Cedarberg Mountains"

The Cedarberg is a favourite hiking place. It is a dry wilderness of wind-sculpted rock and unspoiled valleys, criss-crossed with hiking trails. A strange, stark beautiful landscape. Sometimes one is lucky enough to see a klipspringer, but they are shy and quickly vanish.

About Jeanette

Jeanette is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I painted and illustrated for the advertising industry until my first solo exhibition in 1990. Subsequently I've spent most of my time working in oils and water-colours for commissions and exhibitions. I have also enjoyed illustrating children's books, the most recent being a children's fairy book written by long-time friend Margaret Roberts.
Portraits is one of my favourite expressions in painting. Being able to capture the personality of the person and transfer it onto canvas is a real challenge and, for me, one of the most rewarding of all the aspects of painting. I do accept commissions for portraits.

I am an Associate member of the Watercolour Society of South Africa and regularly exhibit at the Manor Gallery at Norscot when they have exhibitions.

3 year Art Diploma at Durban's Natal Technical College.
