About "S35 Friesian 3/15"

This is one of a series of ten horses I did after completing a life sized horse. This sculpture was based on Flame a magnificent horse from near George. I was rather pleased with the feeling of controlled power I think I achieved in this sculpture

Bridget Randall

Bridget is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Wildlife and art have always been major parts of my life. Having lived in the Bushveld and worked on St Croix Island studying penguins, I guess animals just had to be the focus of my art. I try to show the animal as I see it, with reference to sketches, photos and measurements, however I also try to make the viewer want to touch or move around it to experience the whole animal. Most of my sculptures are small, but I have done life size horse.
