About "The Roof Came Crashing Down"

This was captured among the ruins of the old WW2 air force base behind PE airport. The remains of a collapsed wooden building protrudes from the foliage, creating an atmosphere of abandonment and desolation, the only reminder of human presence being the rotting wood, rusting iron and decay.

Whatever is in a picture has to have a past, or a story before the picture was taken. What was it? How did it get there? Who made it?How did it get to be this way? What does the future hold for it? Will it still look the same in a year? Ten years? A hundred?
