About "My Beach"

I really enjoy painting seascapes. I always paint places that mean alot to me and I love walking on this stretch of beach. I try and convey the vivid colours and contrasts that I see and also the feeling of wide open space I get.

Belinda Ross

Belinda is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I was fortunate enough to grow up on a coastal farm in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. This instilled in me a love and deep connection to the earth.I loved the wide open spaces being on a farm brings and have always felt motivated by replicating the colours I see in my surroundings.

I primarily enjoy working on large canvases especially on seascapes and landscapes. I also have a passion for Koi fish, and am inspired by their colours and quick movements. I find them fascinating!

My family and I moved to Durban in 2005 and enjoyed the relaxed life that coastal living brings. We have subsequently moved to Zambia where life is very interesting and the new reference is diverse!
