Ciska Pretorius

Ciska is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

I am a woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and more. Behind every face there is a story to be told, life experiences to be shared and lessons to be learnt. And so I draw my inspiration from people, children, memories and life experiences. The highs and the lows, the good and the bad, joy and sorrow, from childhood to growing into maturity and everything else in between!

I enjoy how the process of finding and painting a subject forces you to stop and take a look at things in finer detail and to see something you never noticed before - a skill we often lose in the rush of everyday life.

For years I have longed to be creative and to love what I do. I am now blessed to have the opportunity to live out and fulfill that dream. I have had no formal art training and am a self-taught artist. I enjoy painting in watercolour, acrylic and oils.
I believe I have a God-given talent and trust He will guide me every step of the way.
