About "The incredible gift"

A commission, capturing the unbelief and near tearful joy,on this young boy,s face, having been given a brand new soccer ball to call his own. This was all the inspiration I needed for this work. I also loved the character, with the evidence of a previously broken nose and one chipped and another missing tooth, The evidence of only some of the battles of life, which he has faced, at a tender age!

Fred is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Fred appreciates artistic expression in all it's forms.

He is self taught and started off sketching, etching, painting in water colours, and then later, moved on to wood cuts and oils, which is presently his preferred medium.

Fred finds portraits most rewarding and enjoys the challenge that these works present. Commissions for portraits feed this passion. However, his own subject choice is flexible and varied as is the scope of commissions accepted.

Fred works from his home based studio and gallery, in KZN.
