About Levona

Levona van Duyn

Levona is an Artist with SouthAfricanArtists.com based in South Africa.

Art has become Levona's passion, ever since the first time she ever held a pencil in her hand.

Her earliest childhood memories are rich with memories of her late, grandfather, who have created beautiful works of functional art and sculpture, which he mostly gave away to family and friends as gifts. Thus inspired, she decided to follow in his footsteps.

At the age of 9 she painted her first watercolour painting for a competition, and has since never looked back. Her drawing and painting skills has mostly been developed during her teenage years. She enjoys working in watercolours as well as acrylics.

Levona paints anything that captures her attention, from delicate flowers, to African Wildlife and anything in between. To her it is an honour to be able to capture God’s creation, which is so beautiful.
She is completely self taught and is particularly drawn to the way light and shadow plays on an object.
