My name is Caelyn, i am 20 years old, live in Cape Town, South Africa and I like to paint. I am not much of a writer, just needed a way of getting my art out there, somewhere, and blogging seemed to be it...until I found this great website! I do have a blog, but going to try this out.

So. i have finished school, studying was never really a thought. did a bit of travelling, made it to egypt and israel. was amazing. loved it. got home and got straight into painting. dont know why. It was something to keep me busy while thinking about possible things to study…its been 2 years and the thing is i am still thinking and still painting. but now i am thinking, maybe not studying…and just painting. I seem to love it that much.

Found that its actually all i want to do these days, cant see myself doing anything else for right now…besides travelling. im young. but money is always the issue, so i am selling my art.

but during all of this plan making and money saving, which all sounds pretty boring, the process of painting has actually made it bearable. its slow, its indefinite and unreliable, its frustrating but its so much fun. Im not one for focus and concentration…its a big struggle, yet can sit for hours, a good playlist, a cup of coffee, a toilet/TV break here and there (just to see whats on the travel channel or BBC cooking), a fat cat on my lap and painting, being completely satisfied.

It must be one of my passions or something like that i suppose…..

So heres my art, enjoy.
