About "twee eenheid"
This painting is based on the story of Adinda and Saidjah (Multatuli written by Max Havelaar). Two young lovers in the old Dutch Colonial period in Indonesia. Saidjah left to find his fortune, but after he returned Adinda he found out that Adinda with her father and brothers and sisters has left the small village.

Being creative is one of the greatest values of my life. Nowadays it is not only to create a nice looking painting or sculpture, but for my art are those 'things' with emotions in it. Every time you pass it, you have to be astonished: my gush, that aspect I haven't seen until now. You have to sense the emotion of the artist. Being an artist in this way is also a struggle, since I like to change my style a lot. But it is also a big challenge.
