About Carina

My artwork is inspired by God's creation: the unrestrained freedom and beauty of wildlife, the innocent splendour and brilliance of a flower, the peaceful tranquility of a floral garden or the vast greatness of an African landscape.

Nature not only reflects God's glory, but also His love and power in the way all of creation has been uniquely and carefully designed for our pleasure. The message proclaimed is that this same God who holds all of creation in His hands will surely take care of all who put their trust in Him. Even though life had not always been kind to me, I have found that in every circumstance God had been faithful to me.

When it comes to portraits, I am always challenged to create an accurate portrayal of the human face and to interpret the expression as truthful as possible. In order to ensure that every paining I create would be a unique piece of art, I have decided not to commercialize my art by duplication. My emphasis is not on quantity, but definitely on quality and detail. My motto is that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing with excellence.

I find great joy in using my God-given talents to the glory of God. I would be truly happy to know that my artworks carry the presence and favour of God into the homes and lives of those who purchase them.

I have exhibited my artworks at numerous art markets in Pretoria, at exhibitions at my home as well as at Etienne Lewis Store in Montana Park. Some of my artworks have also been purchased by Nedbank, Johannesburg, for their private art collection.
