About Lynette

Lynette was born and grew up in Cape Town.She loved drawing when she was at school and would have loved to make art a career but it was not to be.She spent most of her life in Port Elizabeth bringing up children and a career as a medical technologist.
It was only in 2007 when Lynette retired that she took up oil painting,first with Bretton-Ann Moolman and then with Rina Badenhorst.
Now she and her husband live in Montagu,where there is a vibrant,artistic presence.Painting has become her joy and passion,and with a husband occupied with his hobby of making wooden clocks she has plenty of time to paint.
She likes to paint all subjects but is particuarly inspired by nature around her - how the light and shadows play their part.Her aim is to express the beauty of the Creator through her paintings.
