About "Brothers in Arms" Kobus M[0xC3B6]ller's inspiration for painting Brothers in Arms stems from his core philosophy as a wildlife artist and storyteller--capturing what he calls the "tension between danger and divine design". Over decades of coming face-to-face with Africa's most formidable wildlife, his close encounters on foot with the African Cape buffalo deeply humbled and changed him. The Spirit of Resilience and Brotherhood: Rather than just creating a decorative piece, Kobus wanted to honor the buffalo as an emblem of courage, unyielding strength, and mutual defense. In the wild, male buffaloes form fierce bonds; they protect one another, stand their ground against apex predators like lions, and face threats as a single, unbreakable unit--making the phrase "Brothers in Arms" both a literal and spiritual description of their behavior. |
