Reference 3 About "Child on Swing 2" I did a series of children on swings. At first I was attempting to express the childish and positive feelings one feels when on a swing. The series became more ominous and topical as I began to reference the lack of support there is for children in rural areas in South Africa. The children hang, suspended in space, constricted, helpless. |
