About "Esther's Sacrifice"

Esther 2:17 (NKJV)
The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Esther 4:8 (NKJV)
He also gave him a copy of the written decree for their destruction, which was given at Shushan, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her, and that he might command her to go in to the king to make supplication to him and plead before him for her people.

Esther 4:11 (NKJV)
“All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that any man or woman who goes into the inner court to the king, who has not been called, he has but one law: put all to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter, that he may live. Yet I myself have not been called to go in to the king these thirty days.”

Esther 5:2 (NKJV)
So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter.

1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV)
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

About Rudi

Rudi Carstens

I currently live in Somerset West, Cape Town with my beautiful wife Mari and my two little doggies, Nicky and Eddie. I work as a webmaster for a large South African Team Building company and paint part time in the evenings and over weekends.

I developed a love for painting in my early twenties and have been painting now for over 17 years. My art qualifications include a Commercial Art diploma at Intec and a Bachelor of Visual Arts degree at UNISA.

Over the years, I have focused on various subject matter such as African Wildlife, Portraits of Nelson Mandela, Christian Paintings, Floral and Landscape Paintings. These days I paint whatever I find beautiful and interesting, as well as painting on commission. Previously my paintings were all done in oil paint but I have recently started using acrylic paint. I have found this medium very suitable to my technique as I tend to work in layers. The quick drying time of Acrylics means that I can work faster and more intuitively without having to wait for the paint layers to dry.

I have sold a number of my paintings online to customers from South Africa, United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. I continuously update the Paintings For Sale page with new paintings, please have a look at the paintings there and contact me if you are interested in buying any of the paintings. You are also welcome to commission a painting.
