About "Folding Propeller"
My love of all nautical things. Folding propellers are used on racing boats to reduce resistance in the water. The dense resinous wood, Lignum Vitae (tree of life)is found in the Caribbean basin and is quite rare. I only use the wood of dead trees and have planted seedlings in St Maarten and surrounding islands.
By the time I turned 32, I had been to the South Pole, become a naval officer, earned a degree in fine art at the University of Natal, built 3 sail boats, a house and found a wonderful wife.
3 Palms Restaurant, St Maarten, Dutch West Indies. Private collections in Holland, USA, Canada, Australia and South Africa
Graduated Fine Arts at University of Natal in 1976
