About "Freedom that comes with Democracy"
when Democracy came to South Africa it brought freedom for many oppressed people. As long as our government remains deeply rooted in true democracy, the people can face each sunrise with hope and unity. The emblems on some of the leaves are an Ashanti symbol for democracy.

About Sue
I love expressing my reaction to what I see around me in bold loose brushstrokes and vibrant colours, sometimes abstract, sometimes not! My themes and the way I express them vary widely. I used to work mainly in oils, but also use photography and collage to express ideas. The latest series of work uses encaustic and cyanotype. The melted wax brings a wonderful dimension of transparency and texture to the work.
