Reference Herbs About "Herbs For Natalie" This painting was commissioned by my daughter, Natalie, who was very specific about what she wanted in her painting. She wanted herbs in a wicker basket, which had to include the following: garlic, with some scattered cloves, coriander (her favourite herb), thyme, rosemary, sage, and oregano. To balance the colouring in the painting, I added the nasturtiums and chillies. |

I love all things from Nature - the seasons, leaves, flowers, vegetables, fruit, herbs, trees, earth, moon, sky. As well, I am intrigued by the world of magick: fairies, elves, sprites, dragons and mages. Much of our folklore has intertwined these two elements - Nature and Fantasy, and to bring them together on a canvas is very satisfying. I love to cook and my kitchen is the centre of my home, and I am therefore often inspired to paint everyday elements from my kitchen.
