Noeline McMaster - "Home"
W: 500mm x H: 600mm x D: 30mm
Approx. Weight: 2.7kg
This work is framed (but can be supplied either framed or unframed)
The little town of Wuppertal is hidden away in the Cedarberg in the Cape. The local folk, who are renowned for making veldskoenne (leather shoes) as well as growing amongst other things the much sortafter rooibos tea, live in these charming cottages. This scene seemed to me to be a welcome home.
With two artistic grandfathers, Noeline grew up with a lifelong love of things artistic. She attended the Frank Joubert Art School as a child and became addicted to the smell of paint, clay, turps and all the trappings of an artist’s world. She has dabbled in most spheres of creative art and craft including screen printing, batik, embroidery, copper work and, for many years, ran her own pottery studio.
