About "Josephs Cloak"
All our loved ones are like different colours. They are woven in, a part of our life-cloak. The cloak was used to warm you, bundle your belongings in, wrap around yourself or others, to sit on and as security for a loan. Every colour has a specific purpose in our lives. We may not be able to change our feelings towards other, but we can change our actions. What colour will you be in another’s cloak? When you feel you do not belong. Lift your eyes! Believe that you can. Take the next step. Start to create your own coat of lovely colours. You may just surprise yourself and those around you.

Hi to all. Thank you for showing interest in my work. I stay in the coastal Village, Great Brak River, on the East Coast of South Africa.
I like complicated and interesting things, especially if there is an intriguing twist to it. I enjoy people who dare to be themselves or different; it often brings a smile and a chuckle.
I do not have any art education background or teaching, which gives me the freedom to play and enjoy painting from the hart. I use acrylics and other related media in my works. My passion for creation and people inspires me to paint a feeling, a new creation of bright colours and patterns. Sometimes it is a reminder of things that were, to focus on new beginnings. Most works have hidden optical illusions, which is not immediately visible on first sight. When you start to look deeper, the hidden treasures start revealing themselves in figures, patterns and faces. Although painted in two dimensions, it forces the observer to seek, to look deeper, to ask questions, to think and see with a three-dimension eye.
My wish is that these little messages of faith, hope, love, peace, tolerance and unity will motivate and bring a ray of sunshine to everyone, reminding us that we are not alone. That our spirit is stronger than our tribulations we face each day. If these works could assist people to find new meaning or motivation, it would have fulfilled my purpose to paint.
I do hope that one of my paintings will add value to your life. When you listen and see, you may hear a whispering angle. I hope that it will bring a smile to your heart and a touch from heaven.
