About "Knitting Lessons"
This delightful image brings a smile to your face when you study the intensity and concentration on the young faces in trying to learn the art of knitting. The toddler seems as interested in what the little sister is doing as she herself.
I love to study people and therefore portraits has always been my favorite subject to paint. I enjoy working with bright colors because it creates a mood of happiness and who wants to look at sad pictures anyway! I'm so totally in love with the diversity of the South African culture and cannot help myself but paint scenes that tells a wonderful, inspiring story of living life to the full even in the worst possible circumstances. To summaries what motivates me is God's amazing creatures.
