About "Lady Myfanwy"
Each stitch is painted delicately. The cloth and pose are reminiscent of medieval portraits. I painted each stitch on my Lady's brocade with a fine brush and loupe.
An artist is not what I am, it is who I am. I never stopped painting, the stark white walls were my first canvas, crayons my first medium. In the morning I wake up and go to the post office and deliver the weeks prints, and in the afternoon, after a coffee lunch, I struggle with the meaning of line and form and recognition and desire that does not come easily, nor would I ever want it to.
