About "Lion's Pride | Fine Art Giclée"
Originally conceived as Inner Pride, Lion's Pride explores the quiet strength that comes from within. The lion looks beyond the immediate landscape towards the distant horizon, composed and watchful, while the wildlife and glowing light beyond him suggest a world continuing into the distance.
The work reflects strength without display, authority without aggression, and the dignity of looking towards what lies ahead.
This fine-art reproduction is printed on Hahnem[0xC3BC]hle German Etching 310 gsm archival paper. The 50 [0xC397] 70 cm paper sheet includes an approximately 5 cm white border surrounding the image, allowing space for professional mounting and framing.

About Leone
Leone Tonkinson is a South African-born fine artist based in the Netherlands and founder of Solar Realism, a painting approach centred on the presence and character of natural light.
Working primarily in oils, she combines traditional layered painting techniques with close observation, creating still lifes, wildlife and botanical works marked by luminosity, quiet presence and finely observed detail.
Her South African roots and her life within the Dutch landscape both inform her work, bringing together warmth, nature and a strong sense of place. Rather than simply depicting a subject, Tonkinson seeks the moment when light, atmosphere and presence give it emotional resonance.
Her work is held in private collections and exhibited in the Netherlands and internationally.

She is the founder of Solar Realism, a painting approach that explores light not simply as illumination, but as an active presence within the subject. Through traditional layered oil-painting techniques, careful observation and controlled natural light, form, atmosphere and emotional presence emerge together.
Her work applies this approach to still life, wildlife and the natural world, where reflected light, transparency, texture and subtle shifts in colour become part of the subject itself.
