About "Motherhood"

I had to paint the translucence of the cloth draped over the mother figure - I wanted to capture the light and the wood under a veil of cloth. Madonna like yet faceless she is the representation of all mothers.

I'm inspired by the play of light - how it reveals emotion in landscapes, figures, and fleeting moments. My work blends realism with symbolism, using layered brushwork, glazes, and mark-making to explore themes of solitude, transformation, and connection. I draw from history, mythology, and personal experience to create visual narratives that resonate across time and culture.
