About "Mustard Seed"
Description of The Mustard Seed The contemporary painting The Mustard Seed uses real mustard seeds arranged in a simple, repetitive pattern. The mustard seeds symbolize faith, referencing the biblical idea that even faith as small as a mustard seed can have great power. The artwork uses earthy, natural tones, creating a warm and grounded feeling. Its minimalist design reflects the idea that "less is more"--rather than being overly detailed, the artist allows the repeated pattern and natural texture of the seeds to create visual interest. The contrast between the seeds and the background gives the painting a subtle, tactile quality. Overall, The Mustard Seed combines simplicity, nature, and symbolism to communicate the idea that something small and seemingly insignificant can hold great meaning and potential.

About Salome
Salome High is a contemporary South African artist who studied Fine Art at the University of Pretoria. Her work reflects the spirit of the times, embracing the ever-evolving zeitgeist while remaining rooted in a philosophy of simplicity. Inspired by Le Corbusier's famous maxim, "Less is more," she seeks to distill her subjects to their essential beauty and character. Working primarily from photographic references, Salome transforms observed reality into expressive, contemporary artworks. Her current body of work focuses on wildlife, capturing the strength, elegance, and individuality of each animal through a fresh artistic perspective. By introducing subtle elements of glamour and refinement, she creates a unique visual dialogue that celebrates the natural world while inviting viewers to see familiar subjects in a new light.
