About "Nguni"

The varied and beautiful colouring of the Nguni cattle in Africa has led to Zulu names descriptive of it that are almost poetic in nature.
This colouration (brown on the upper half of the body and white below) is called -bafazibewela. It refers to "a woman crossing over" and is reminiscent of Boer women crossing over streams, lifting their skirts and thus exposing the layers of white petit coats.
