About "On a Hill ..."

I visited a place a few years ago and took a photo of this tree standing all alone in its surroundings....sometimes something simple can be so apt...
I enjoy bringing in texture into my paintings and even though it may not be so visible in the photo of this work...there is alot of texture in the grassy section of the painting....and I enjoy the movement that is evident in the tree and sky. The colours in the painting are more vivid than what is evidenced in the painting itself.

There is also artwork on the edges of the box canvas...please let me know if you would like to see a more detailed photo of the artwork.
